It’s not that easy to use public transport in Russian language. This short dialogue can help you with your future travels. However, practising the keyphrases, you can learn a lot.

You will not always have the opportunity to practice your communication skills with native speakers. It is this dialogue that should help you with your questions related to transport. Everyone has situations when you need to get somewhere, but you don’t know how. You can read the dialogue between the driver and passenger. You will be able to learn how to talk about your trip, and learn necessary phrases that would help you. In the dialogue, you can see a typical conversation between a driver and a passenger who asked for the way. Also in the dialogue you will practice the names of typical streets, currencies and idioms that we use in our daily life. You’re going to listen to small talk. Line A is a speaker 1 and line B is a speaker 2.

оплати́ть прое́зд - pay for the fare.
ско́лько он сейча́с стои́т - how much does it cost now.
вы мо́жете обьяснить ку́дой мы бу́дем е́хать - can you explain how we are going to go.
дое́дем с ветерко́м - idiom 'we'll get there with the breeze', (it's going to be a fast and easy drive).
